Highlights:
- One of the great freshwater marsh wetland in the Chennai city (Place: Pallikaranai) and It is the most sought place for birds watching.we can see more migratory birds from various places within and outside the country.
- But this wonderful marshland is fast vanishing because of city development's and it not well maintained properly as like tourist places.But if you have time you can visit once.It is nice place for the nature lovers/photographers.we can see at least 5-10 species of birds at anytime (In a year around 100+ species of birds are coming).
- There is a '200 feet highway road' the causeway cutting the marsh in half from the Pallikaranai (Landmark: Kamatchi hospital) to OMR road which is best place for visiting this marshland and it is a great road driving too.
