• This is one of the 109 Divya Desams of Lord Vishnu.The temple has icons of five forms of Vishnu: Narasimha, Rama, Gajendra Varadaraja, Ranganatha and Krishna.The temple is one of the oldest structures in Chennai.

• In the main sanctum along with Parthasarathy, we can also see his whole family present, a rare feature nowhere found in any other temple. Hence this place is called Southern Brindavana

• Once in a year the main doors of the temple will be kept closed and we can't even see the main God.So please find the dates and go.

• Darshan, Sevas and Festivals: The temple has grand brahmotsavams (big festival) for Sri Parthasarathy swami during the Tamil month of Chittirai (April–May), on the same month Udayavar uthsavam is also celebrated. In the month of Vaigasi, Sri Varadarajar uthsavam, Sri Nammalwar uthsavam (vaigasi-visagam) and Vasanthothsavam are celebrated
